I’m sitting in the comfort of my home, in my boxers, watching 30 Rock reruns, and shopping online.  I know there are people standing outside in this mid 30 to 40 degree weather, trying to get the best shopping deals.  I’ve been one of those idiots in past years.  It’s not worth it.  If you know how to shop online, you will never need to do that outdoor, overnight, black friday rush shopping again.

Visit sites like Dealnews, eDealInfo, Bensbargains, and FatWallet for deals and coupons and sales.  And visit tech blogs like BGR, Mashable, Gizmodo and Engadget for advice on how to get the best deals from your purchases.

And in case you are planning to check out the Black Friday fun, here are some more tips.

• Make a plan: Identify what you want to buy, which stores have the best sales on Black Friday and what time they open.
• Timing is everything: Arrange stores by opening time, from earliest to latest.
• A fool and his money: Be wary of Black Friday deals with quantity limits. If a store has only 10 items at that price, go elsewhere.
